Practice Story Reflection

Last class, we finished our Practice Story Interview to help us get ready for our final interview project.  First we got into teams, in my team I have Kirklyn, Mia, and Nika.  Then we started a transcript to plan out our shot for when we stat filming.  Our practice interview story thesis statement is "Kirklyn Draws Anime". When we planed out all the question written in the transcript, we started filming our interview on one of our fellow teammates. We would ask her the question and then she would answer to the interviewer. Then after we would get B-Roll, like her drawing to make her story more interesting to the viewers.

Once we got all the footage we imported it into the Final Cut Pro and began the transcript her answers word for word.  Then we began writing the introduction, the interviewer's questions, and a closing. At this part we began having some arguing about our jobs and couldn't would as a team. But we sorted everything out and got back to work.  After finishing all the transcriptions, we printed it and began the narration.   Mia was our narrator, so she would speak into the microphone on the computer to get a clear, crisp sound.  Then we imported i
t into the Final Cut Pro and edited everything together.  Once we finished, we shared it with apple devices and saved it in our folders.  Then lastly we dragged and dropped the finish product into the school server.

Overall I think we did a good job for the amount of time we have for planning and filming.  But next time I think that we could work on the transcriptions more and follow and rely more on the transcriptions more.  I also think that our shot types could be better thought out because some of the shots were used multiple times.  Lastly I would have like to get more B-roll footage then what we had.  That would help with all the cuts between the video and fill in more space.  After doing this practice, me and my team knows our strengths and what we would have to work more on next time.
